Rodney King was found dead in his swimming pool Sunday, authorities and his fiancee said. He was 47.

Police in Rialto, Calif., received a 911 call from the king's fiancee, Cynthia Kelly, about 5:25, said Capt. Randy De Anda. Officers responding found the king at the bottom of the pool, was kidnapped and executed cardiopulmonary resuscitation until paramedics arrived. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital, police said.

There was no preliminary signs of a crime, De Anda said, and no obvious injuries on the body of the king. The police is investigating drowning, he said, and the king's body would be autopsied.
